How the trainer works
Set the fix, the inbound course, the turn direction and the leg length.
Dial in a wind and the pattern redraws with the drift correction applied to the legs and the turns.
Pick an arrival heading and the correct entry is drawn from your position all the way onto the inbound course. Drag the aircraft to any point and observe the instrument indications.

Is there a holding pattern visualiser?
Yes. The Radio Navigator Hold Visualiser draws any holding pattern with real wind correction applied, including the entry path from whatever heading you arrive on. It runs in the browser.
Does it show the entry?
Yes. Set your arrival heading and the correct entry (direct, parallel or offset) is drawn from your position onto the inbound course, so you can see why the sector rules give the answer they do.

How is the wind correction calculated?
Drift is applied to the inbound leg and, more heavily, to the outbound leg and the turns, with the outbound timing adjusted for the head or tail component. The result is the pattern an aircraft genuinely flies rather than an idealised racetrack.
