The Online Radio Navigation Simulator
For Student Pilots · Instructors · Training Organisations
Learn radio navigation on the ground, then bring it to the cockpit. Tracking, intercepts, holding and procedures on a fully simulated instrument and radio panel, in your browser.

Practise any instrument flying and radio navigation you like.
A full instrument and radio panel with realistic physics. Free-form, no lesson and no clock. Simulate anything you want to work on and fly it until it clicks.
- 2× VOR, ADF, DME & simulated GNSS
- HSI, OBS & RBI, moving map, realistic wind
- Up to 20× time acceleration
Practise in procedurally generated scenarios, with feedback.
Scenario trainers build an exercise for you, guide you as you fly it, then grade the run so you know exactly what to work on next.
- Intercept, Holding, Position Fix & Procedure Turn
- Adaptive difficulty & automatic debrief
- Set your own wind, nav-aids & weak areas
Guided lessons on everything from tracking to holding.
Interactive, step-by-step lessons take you from the basics to the tricky stuff, with on-screen guidance and checks that you have understood before you move on.
- Tracking, intercepts, holding & more
- Step-by-step, with on-instrument highlights
- Built by a flight instructor & airline pilot
Visualise the procedures, read the theory.
The Hold Visualiser shows any hold and entry with wind correction at a glance, and the free written guides cover holding, tracking and IFR procedures in depth.
- Hold Visualiser: any hold, any wind, entries at a glance
- Free articles: holding, tracking & IFR procedure clusters
- Two-minute tips through to full explainers
Your instructor wishes you used Radio Navigator.
Learn the navigation skills on the ground, turn up to every lesson prepared, and spend less on repeated flights.
Practise on the ground
Build the skills in the browser, not at £500 an hour in the aircraft.
Turn up prepared
Know what the needles are doing before the lesson.
Save money on lessons
Fewer repeated exercises, fewer hours to reach the standard.

Started because I was tired of drawing HSIs on whiteboards. Now it’s the tool I’d always wanted to send students home with.
Testimonials
A much needed tool without the need of using an expensive aircraft or simulator. Highly recommended to all students.

As an ex Instrument Rating Instructor I've used many different platforms for radio navigation training. Radio Navigator is by far the best. It's full featured, smart, interactive and makes learning and visualisation SO MUCH EASIER. My IR would have been a lot easier if this was around at the time!!!

If you are wondering if it is worth it, I guarantee it is! It is by far the most comprehensive radio navigation training tool out there. From guided lessons, practical exercises to just flying. If you were in the classroom or in the aircraft wondering how do I do join this hold, intercept this track or how do I correct for this wind, this app is for you!

I used this to practice some raw data before an airline assessment sim, and it was super helpful! Would recommend for any stage of flying!

Genuinely very impressed. All of this for £10 a month?!

Truly the software I wish I had during my training... The best way to learn and with support from an IR instructor if you need it - absolutely fabulous. I am jealous of anyone who is currently going through the IR and has found this app. All the stress of learning how to hold for the first time in a bumpy aircraft in the middle of summer could have been reduced to nothing with a bit of practice on here.

The most realistic and up to date training aid I've seen for radio navigation training. Using instrument graphics that actually resemble what you'll see in a modern, glass cockpit.

£500/hour in the cockpit, or a fraction of the cost here.
Start practising tonight.
As a good friend of mine once said, “the majority of my IR was learned on my phone.”
Try the free simulator, or start a 7-day free trial of Pro.
